Violent Triumphs (White Monarch #3)-Jessica

Updated: Jun 21, 2021

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

“You are the White Monarch. Don’t you see that? You’re the weapon, the survivor, the killer. You can do this.”

the conclusion, one girl caught between two brothers.

This trilogy is one of my ultimate favourites now, especially for this year. But I loved it so much that I ordered the book, which is a whopping 3lbs and just under 900 pages. All three books displayed a beautiful game of chess for the reader, everything little detail leads to a new twist the reader wasn't expecting.

I dunno about you guys, but I can normally predict everything within a novel and with this trilogy I could barely do that. EVERY twist had me shocked. I took many days to finish the last book because I didn't ever want thing to end, I wanted the story to go on forever, and if only it could...

^Me just thinking about the fact there wont be more Cristiano and Natalia

I honestly never ever expected to love this series as much as I did, I don't even remember how I discovered the series, but I'm beyond grateful that I did. Cristiano shows his heart for Natalia in this book, and the way he loves her just hits different.

“I wouldn’t be allowed in Heaven, but I swear on all that’s holy—I’d rattle the gates until they let me have you.”

This trilogy (especially this novel) is a forced marriage and age gap trope, and if that isn't you thing, I ask you give this series a try, it will completely change your mind about it all. Hawkins pulls at all the readers feelings with this one, the first two books leave you filled with mystery and intrigue while this one melts your heart. The age gap wont even have you thinking or concerned for anything but the hopes that the love blossoms between the two before the electricity between them melts them both.

In this last novel, you see how collectively cool and calculated Cristiano is with every single move and how his empire came to be so strong from trying to prove his innocence to Natalia and Costa since the first book. ALSO HIS LOVE? he gives everything for Natalia and always makes sure to have her back and fight with her on the battlefront as king and queen in the cartel world.

“If someone took you now? They’d better kill me in the process, because I’d never stop until I found you. There’d be nothing left of this earth. And then, I’d keep going in the afterlife.” “Where would you look first?” I asked. “Heaven or Hell?” “Heaven,” he said immediately. “If you stay here by my side, though, that will change. There’s only the underworld for people like us. But down here, we don’t burn. We rule.”

Natalia can be a pretty annoying character and seen as bratty because she doesn't believe Cristiano for a majority of the books, always still fighting against her feelings for him and relying on what she saw incorrectly in the past relating to the death of her mother. The slow burn in the novel is enough to make you push through and work to love Natalia but in this novel, you grow to love her fondly and realize that she was only protecting herself and her heart in this dangerous world they have been apart of since the beginning of time. Especially because Cristiano used to be a protector for her family and her Fathers cartel.

In the end, this novel is a must read and can't wait to hear your reviews and comments about this novel.
