My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Okay so, I’ve been reading romance lately due to being in a slump I'm unable to shake and saw nothing but glowing reviews from people I follow closely with on Goodreads, so I said why not???....Now I understand this hype.
“The lessons I'd learned too early in life. Trust no one. Never draw a weapon unless you meant to kill. Loyalty didn't guarantee loyalty, even to your own blood. Anyone, even the most loyal disciple, could turn.”
THIS BOOK? AHHH…
I was able to guess some parts of the plot which I normally do with all my books, but this… this plot left my jaw dropping, on the edge of my seat and so much more!
This book was written like a beautiful game of chess, each strategically placed as we readers try to piece together all of the puzzle.
Natalia, the white monarch or mariposa, the daughter of one of the most powerful drug lords in Mexico, losing her mother to a horrifying circumstance of the mafia life, left her pointing fingers at what she had witnessed at such a young age.
“She is a heavenly creature cut from the finest cloth with which God had to work. A fabric so fine, that to be dressed in it is to be a king, and to forget anything that came before it.”
Endless loose ends and POV’s that made me question everything between this beautiful white monarch and the two men who have always been connected to the De la Rosa family-Diego and Cristiano-taken in by the family when their parents were killed at the age of eight and fifteen.
The death of her mother hits hard, but eleven years later she’s back home for her childhood love Diego but Cristiano is back and wanting her too, but what will he do to try to win her love?
"My brother's using you to light the fire, but don't forget - a match also burns."
These two brothers hold a deep grudge and feud against each other. She fears that one is in control of her fate, and feels that the other is her life long soulmate. You can't explain too much of this plot without giving away the next piece, so all I can say is its a must read.
Keep in mind this book ends in a cliffhanger, so have the second one on standby. However, I will not say too much about this intricate plot line because there are still two more books for me to read next now, so I am prepared to be reading for the next new days hehe
See you later with another review book nerds!
