My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

“You may be born into a family, but you walk into friendships. Some you’ll discover you should put behind you. Others are worth every risk.”
This novel was written in 2017, it has such highly written reviews on Goodreads and I had such high hopes, but I don't know what happened. It just fell flat.. sadly.
I can't really say that theres a plot twist at the end, as the novels name basically tells you the storyline. Within this book, you get a call 24 hours before you're supposed to die and you have until then and you don't know how. its up to you how you choose to spend those 24 hours and so you meet two people-Mateo and Rufus-who are both looking to making a friend on their End Day, meet on an app for that specific reason and you follow their story.
“I cannot tell you how you will survive without me. I cannot tell you how to mourn me. I cannot convince you to not feel guilty if you forget the anniversary of my death, or if you realize days or weeks or months have gone by without thinking about me. I just want you to live.”
I don't wanna say too much about it, but it was nothing special, like I didn't like it, I took a couple days to read it because I just couldn't somehow connect to the writing style but also the plot.
Yanno, you expect what you expect, and when I downloaded this on my kindle, I read no reviews which is very very shocking and rare for me ahah. So I wasn't sure what people who I follow closely thought or what other blurbs about the novel were.
I gave this novel three stars.
The ending had me shocked? That’s all I can say. It wasn't a predictable ending until it began, and thats what tore at my heart strings. the ending, It left me with a few question, so maybe that’s why this sits at 3 stars.
