'She’s just as obsessed with me as I am her. It’s a lethal combination, because neither of us seems strong enough to keep the other one at bay. Each of us keeps falling into the same depraved trap.'
The second book to the Cinderella trilogy, another steamy read that I enjoyed more than the first. This book was about Winston taking Cinderelliot to the ball and had many similar aspects to the original book which was nice.
I also LOVED the sass and the comebacks from Ash. She made me laugh and maybe even pocket a few remarks for when the opportunity arises. I loved the brat energy she had in this book, maybe that's what makes me enjoy this book more than the first book. This was such a well written book with similarities and differences to the original classic fairytale that everyone loves.
'He’s no Prince Charming.
He’s the king of everything.
A master manipulator. A puppeteer pulling all the strings. A designer of a tricky game.
Wicked. Ruthless. A bit crazy.'
The mystery behind Winston and his denial for his feelings for Ash but wanting to keep her at arms length at all times, risking his business multiple times for Ash and protecting her from her evil step brothers. The secrets kept between both Ash and Winston has this book boiling up to a tipping point which leaves this book on another cliff hanger unfortunately but I am reading the third and will keep you updated on how this trilogy ends!
